Six Sentence Sunday – 12/16/12

Welcome to #SixSunday!

Today’s Six Sunday I’m continuing with my upcoming release, BEER AND GROPING IN LAS VEGAS due out this Wednesday!! In fact you can now pre-order it from the publisher! (Doing the happy dance!)

I also got my first book blogger review, from Angie J at Twinsie Talk Book Reviews, which garnered this awesome quote:

Ok so this book is sooo fun. It is a quick 46 page ecopy book but it is filled with sarcasm, wit, sexiness and a lot of humor…The sexual tension in the story is great. I was laughing in the beginning and then saying “Hawt” towards the middle. When they finally *cough cough* well you know, it was gooood reading

This is in the heroine’s POV and they’ve now moved up to her hotel suite. He’s left her on the balcony for a moment to get them more beers:

She soaked in the city’s multicolored lights, let the crisp night air wash over her, and reveled in being in this moment and feeling it. Lord, how numb she’d let herself become. Like a ghost limb that had fallen asleep and suddenly tingled with awareness.

The sound of the French doors closing and his footsteps signaled this moment’s next phase. She smiled. Anticipating his body beside hers again, a thrill shot up her spine when his hard, masculine presence hovered behind her instead.

I’m also kicking off a blog tour tomorrow, so if any of you have slots available on your blog for hosting me, I’d love to be a guest 🙂 Just shoot me an email at angela [at] angelaquarles [dot] com

        1. This is the only one– the others are in the past 🙂 one time travel to 1834, another a mystery in 1940, another a steampunk in 1890. Oops, forgot about my NaNo! That’s contemp too 🙂

  1. I like your description of her feelings – nice to see this is having a seriously big effect on her, it’s not just looking forward to a one-night-stand.

  2. Congratulations on the review 😀 The anticipation in this six is beautiful and he’s there, just hovering. I’m actually melting here, okay not really, but you know what I mean.

  3. Congrats on the fabulous review! I am definitely, DEFINITELY going to read this book! You do an incredible job setting the scene. Wicked six! 🙂

    1. Thanks! Yeah, am having to hold off from that for the time being I think, since we’ll be submitting to editors in a couple weeks… Though maybe it won’t hurt. I’ll ask…
